About This Product

The Fender Custom Shop Custom Artist Collection Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster® is a faithful replica of the guitar given to Jimmy Page by Jeff Beck, Page's former guitarist, in the seminal British psychedelic blues-rock outfit, the Yardbirds. Page immediately customized the guitar—a 1959 model with a white blonde finish and rosewood fingerboard—by applying eight circular mirrors to, he called it, "make a kinetic sculpture" and "a vessel for music." It was featured on The Yardbirds' singles including 'Think About It'.

The Telecaster was destined for further customization by Page and eventually became the 'Dragon' used for electric guitar work on Led Zeppelin's eponymous 1969 album, one of the most acclaimed and influential debuts in rock history. True to the original, the Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster features a two-piece, center-seam ash body with an eight-hole pickguard and a Journeyman Relic finish. The stained maple neck features a custom 1959 Jimmy Page profile, topped by a 7.25"-radius flat-lam rosewood fingerboard and vintage-upgraded frets. Two hand-wound 1958 Telecaster pickups have three-way switching with modern wiring. Other features include a top-loading/string-through-body Telecaster bridge with threaded steel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, and a bone nut. Includes a deluxe tweed hardshell case, a reissue ACE "Stained-Glass" woven strap, a mirror application kit, black coil wiring, and a certificate of authenticity.
