Released in 2004, American Idiot marked a major comeback for Green Day, revitalising their career after a period of decline. It produced five hit singles: "American Idiot," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Holiday," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and "Jesus of Suburbia."
