Charvel Guthrie Govan Signature Birds Eye Maple Electric Guitar

A rising master of the modern era, British guitar master Guthrie Govan captivates all who hear him. After two years of meticulous development with the master, Charvel proudly introduced the ultimate ultra-pro guitar in 2014—the Guthrie Govan Signature model. With a wealth of special features and high-performance flourishes, it is a true expression of Govan's artistry in a distinctively Charvel form.

The San Dimas body features a stunning bird's-eye maple top with a clear matte finish and a specially contoured heel (sans neck plate) for easy access to the top of the fingerboard. The bolt-on neck features quartersawn flame maple and a "caramelized" heat and drying treatment that gives it an older-sounding feel, with graphite reinforcement, urethane gel on the back of the neck, and easy truss rod adjustment at the end of the body. Notably, a San Dimas model features a compound-radius (12"-16") flame-maple fingerboard that reaches two octaves, with the same caramelized treatment as the neck, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and special maple dot inlays with ebony borders.

Other premium features include three custom wound Charvel MF pickups arranged in a flexible HSH configuration with five-way switching for Govan's desired tonal range and dynamic sensitivity, two marked control knobs (master volume, master tone), a US-made Charvel locking tremolo bridge with Tremol-No™ unit and oversized brass block, a bone nut, chrome hardware and a 25.5" scale length.
