Fender Custom Shop Ltd Ed 1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic Electric Guitar, Faded Aged Sherwood Green Metallic

The early 1960s saw several significant changes to the Stratocaster, including a new pickguard configuration, neck profile, and "round-laminated" rosewood fingerboard, all culminating in an exciting new contemporary look and sound. The 1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is a fine example of these innovations, featuring a two-piece, select alder body with deep contours for excellent comfort, a quartersawn maple neck with the time-honored 1963 "C" profile, and a 9.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 tall, narrow frets for stable playing both up and down the neck.

Fat '60s hand-wound pickups with a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup are wired extra turns for rich '60s tone, delivered to a five-way switch and vintage-modified #2 wire on a mint green three-ply pickguard. Other features include a Custom Shop-style synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut and wing string tree with metal spacers. Also included is a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
