Fender Custom Shop Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Stratocaster Relic Guitar, 3-Tone Sunburst

If there were a Mount Rushmore of Stratocaster masters, Stevie Ray Vaughan would certainly be on it. He almost single-handedly revived the electric blues scene in the 80s and 90s, using his beloved Strat® to soar to the top of the charts. The masters of the Custom Shop were able to create this guitar, and Vaughan also assisted before his passing. It is one of the most sought-after guitars in the world, and Fender is proud to have it permanently included in the Custom Artist Collection.

SRV heavily modified his Strat to suit his energetic yet controlled playing style. It features a trio of Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special high-output pickups for authentic Fender-infused tone as big as the Lone Star State. As a tribute to his hero, Jimi Hendrix, SRV installed a vintage-style left-handed synchronized tremolo bridge on the guitar, allowing him to use the tremolo arm with his elbow—a modification copied by Fender. The two-piece body is crafted from alder selected for its weight and grain, and the Relic lacquer finish will mature and reveal a distinctive character, just like the original. The tinted riftsawn maple neck has an “Oval C” profile that’s slightly slimmer on the treble side, making it easier to bend strings—a precise adaptation of his favorite neck profile.

Other features include 5-way pickup switching, vintage-style wiring, a 3-ply Black “SRV” pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, a rosewood fingerboard, a bone nut, and a wing string tree. It comes with a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and Certificate of Authenticity.
