Fender Michiya Haruhata Stratocaster Electric Guitar, RW FB, Caribbean Blue Trans

Michiya Haruhata's signature model (TUBE) is inspired by the "Michiya Haruhata Stratocaster III" released by the custom shop in 2011. With a refreshing Caribbean blue finish on the quilt top, this unit is packed with all kinds of ideas and has an iconic presence through various activities such as TUBE and solo works.

Haruhata, who had hoped to develop a model within the affordable price range, was convinced by the quality of Fender Japan, which had been supervised by Chris Fleming for years and compromised while keeping the price low. A project to develop a model without specifications was then initiated.

Various ideas were incorporated into the custom shop, such as a large inverted headstock, a unique and functional control system, and a double-locking tremolo system. The same pickups were used, directly mounted to the body as the custom shop's. Furthermore, the neck shape is a Michiya Haruhata Soft V, reproduced through 3D scanning.

The prototype was completed in early May 2018. When I checked in with Haruhata during the rehearsal for the TUBE national tour, which had already begun, he immediately liked it and started using it. He even continued playing with the prototype, proving that the model had met his expectations.
