Ibanez unveiled the S1070PBZ in 2018, a sleek addition to the S series, expertly crafted in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. The S1070PBZ features a 6.5mm thick poplar burl top with a walnut, curly maple and panga panga strip down the centre with natural binding on an African mahogany body bolted to an eleven-piece panga panga, maple, walnut and purpleheart Wizard neck with a panga panga fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, binding, offset pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS3Fe tuning stabilizer and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
