The SR5005 is a five-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line. It replaced the similar SR5005E.
The SR5005 features a wenge top and back on a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced wenge and Bubinga Atlas neck with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with mother of pearl and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of custom Bartolini passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, a Mono-rail bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
