This is a vinyl LP pressing of Mingus Ah Um (2010 MOV Reissue) by Charles Mingus. The American jazz composer and multi-instrumentalist originally released his studio album in October 1959, via Columbia Records. Produced by Teo Macero, the album was recorded at Columbia 30th Street Studio in New York City. Mingus Ah Um was one of fifty recordings chosen by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry in 2003. The album was ranked number 380 of the Top 500 Albums of All-Time by Rolling Stone in 2020.
