This is a 2024 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Run-D.M.C self-titled. The American hip-hop group originally released their debut studio album on March 27, 1984, via Profile Records. Produced by Russel Simmons and Larry Smith, the album was recorded at Greene Street Recording in New York City. It was considered groundbreaking for its time, presenting a tougher, more hardcore form of hip-hop. Run-D.M.C (album) peaked at number 53 on the Billboard 200, and number 14 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. The album became the first rap album which was certified as Gold by the RIAA (December 17, 1984).
